TransCentury donates Kshs25million to SBS

TransCentury Limited, an investment and private equity firm on Friday, 10th December donated KShs25 million to Strathmore Business School (SBS) towards the building of an auditorium in the SBS complex that is under construction.

The donation was presented by the CEO of TransCentury Limited Dr Gachao Kiuna and recei

The auditorium in the SBS complex will have all the requisite conferencing facilities including three ceiling mounted projectors that will project on a giant screen. The stage will seat up to 10 people, raised just enough to ensure visibility from the main seating area. The SBS complex will serve the overwhelming need for world-class executive training in Africa in a local setting. SBS needs to raise KShs265 million to complete the complex.

The building's innovative design makes it the business school in the world built in adherence to the green building technology guidelines and seeks to achieve the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the US Green Building Council on completion.

TransCentury Limited was established thirteen years ago by a group of African professionals and businessmen. It invests in power and transport infrastructure, specialised engineering undertakings in Sub-Sahara Africa. It has a presence in nine countries in the sub-Sahara region.
